Today's task is to write a lyric in its entirety, then give it to another member of the group who will set it to music, for performance/recording tomorrow morning at 10am. Lyrics can be based on the list of titles the group came up with yesterday.
While people are getting on with their lyrics, our in-house producer Chris is working on a recording of Paraig's song 'Honours for Fees' - a political song about the cash-for-honours scandal, with a melody adapted from the traditional tune 'Bonnie Dundee'. To our shame Chris and I had to learn this tune from the sheet music, to the amusement of our north-of-the-border friends, for whom it's a bit of a 'mother's milk' kind of melody. Conveniently, one of our number - Lori - is a fine fiddler, and can be seen in the video adding folk-sparkle to our melody.
We're all enjoying Barncrosh, although it's sometimes unnerving to be 'stared out' by a Llama every time you look out of the window...
